About ClimateRender

ClimateRender transforms abstract climate data into tangible, visual artefacts. We believe that understanding climate change shouldn't require reading reports or interpreting graphs. It should be visceral, personal, and immediate.

By showing people what their own neighborhoods might look like in the near future, we make the climate change and its adaptations impossible to ignore.

We believe that human adaptability is the key to climate resilience. The project produces speculative images of how people might adapt to climate change, and how cities might adapt to climate change based on our years of research on climate trends.

Daniel for design and UX feedback. The discussion helped us refine the project. His feedback on adding adaptiations and providing an option where users may not want to upload their own image was invaluable. This led us to implement the Unsplash API.

Fabien for feedback with the model adaptations. His feedback helped us steer the image generation towards a more context-aware approach with focus on cultural appropriateness and human resilience.
